Modern Dance Technique Class
This intermediate level movement class emphasizes Modern Dance concepts and movement techniques highlighted through the joy of motion. Specifically, the class uses the philosophy of ‘Contraction and Release’ of the torso as a catalyst for movement as per American Modern Dance pioneer May O’Donnell. The class content also honors the choreographic influences of O’Donnell, José Limón, Susannah Newman, Gary Lund and Norman Walker, among many other master dance artists. The 90-minute class explores movement vocabulary to help students increase strength, control, alignment, flexibility, rhythmic and dynamic awareness, range of motion, and clarity of form all while emphasizing the beauty of sheer physicality and artistic expression.

A 45 minute fun and basic live online workout class for all skill levels. Through our guided fitness training, you will have fun while achieving strength, flexibility, endurance and the joy of motion.
The WERK-IT class includes stretching, gentle movement warmups, strength Exercise ,low impact Cardio, a CoolDown dance and a few surprises, all set to uplifting music.

‘Pull up a Chair’ - a Movement Class
This is a perfect workout class for 45+ adults (but can be done by anyone) By using a chair, bench or a wheelchair you can workout fully without putting strain on sensitive knees, lower back, ankles and feet.
This beginner level class focuses on proper alignment while targeting core strength, flexibility and creating new neuromuscular connections to the brain. By increasing the overall range of motion, you’ll be able to handle daily life and events.
All the exercises have a follow-along format, are set to fun music and can be done in any small space. This is a household activity so ‘pull up a chair’ for everyone - spouses, parents, kids, weird uncles, ghosts and pets are all welcome.
The 45-minute class is led by a professional teacher/choreographer who’s worked with diverse populations for over 25 years. The class is co-hosted by Spike the resident Jack Russell Terrier. Pull up a chair and let’s go!
